WorkSafeBC Occupational First Aid Level One Course

During November 2015, Constantia funded first aid training for local residents. Thirteen people successfully completed the 8 hour program provided life-saving first aid skills to workers in various industries, and addressed medical aid, management of soft tissue injuries, and airway and breathing interventions. The First Air Certificate received by each successful participant is valid for three years.

Job Skills Workshop

During November 2015, Constantia hosted a Job Skills Workshop which was attended by fifteen grade 11 and 12 students from Desert Sands School in Ashcroft. Students were brought by bus to Cache Creek and provided a Human Resources instructor from the Constantia head office in Vancouver. Students received support with resume preparation and job interviewing skills.

16 Mile Community Water Well

Constantia Resources is proud to have helped the 16 Mile Community Association address the issue of reliable access to water for fire local firefighting efforts. Constantia provided funding and the equipment to drill a Community Water Well that will provide an important safety resource for volunteer firefighting needs.

Whispering Pines Job Skills Workshop

Earlier in 2014, the Whispering Pines/Clinton Indian Band approached Constantia Resources with a great idea: could we use our in-house Human Resources personnel to host a Job Skills Workshop for Whispering Pines members who are seeking to improve their job search and interview skills?

The goal of the workshop was for participants to learn how to effectively communicate to a potential employer by having a well prepared resume and excellent interviewing skills.

Here are some of the comments from participants:

"A very informative resume building and I learned a lot about the company and what they do."

"Very interesting, useful for someone who doesn't know about interviews and resumes. I liked the tips given for interviews, i.e. eye contact and verbal skills."

"I believe my resume will be a lot better than before, thank you."

Drill Core Technician Training Course

Constantia is providing up to $30,000 in scholarships for the Northwest Community College (NWCC) Drill Core Technician Basic Training Course. The scholarships are fully funded and priority is given to First Nations and residents from the Ashcroft, Cache Creek, Clinton and 16 Mile area.

On completion, participants will receive a NWCC certificate and have the skills to apply for a job with either Constantia or other mineral exploration companies.
